Snails the good and the bad

I wanted to do a test to see if a snail would cross sand paper. I had to find a snail (which was very easy). I put the snail next in the middle of the sand paper, but it wouldn't move. It looked like it was going to die and have no purpose in life. A closer look shows it has sluggo in its mouth.
