I know this question is a bit premature as we are in May
Could anyone please give me any advice on winter protection for evegreen agapanthus. I have brought 3 agapanthus plants that will be going in to tall large pots on my patio. I do not have a greenhouse and due to the size and weight of the pots it would be difficult to place then under any cover
I‘ve read that you should place the pots close to the house wall so they can receive any radiant heat. Also to cover the actual pot with hessian fabric. Finally wrap a good quality fleece around the plant
I appreciate it would have been easier to have selected a more frost hardy agapanthus
