As a fan of the Jesse Stone series, I was interested enough to watch this short video of "Jesse Stone's Red House."
It's featured in pretty much every episode.

In the story, he becomes the Chief of Police of the town "Paradise" in Massachusetts after being fired for being drunk as a homicide detective in Los Angeles. He gets the job as the corrupt president of the town's board of governors, thinks he'll be easy to control.

He can't afford much but an estate agent finds him this house that no one wants.

The house is actually in Nova Scotia over 500 miles away. The fiming is skillfully done to make it look more isolated than it really is.

The music is from the programme.

If you've not watched this series, the comments below the video will tell you what you've missed.
The series comes from the nine books written by Robert B Parker.

I watched this (again) last night on C4.

I watched Four Weddings and a Funeral (again) on C4 tonight.

I've always thought Fifi, (Kristin Scott Thomas) would have been the ideal partner for Charlie (Hugh Grant), I found her far more attractive than Carrie (Andie McDowell) and believed her to be a far better actress.

The best scene in the film. Could bring a tear to your eye.

Started watching Picard on Amazon prime video, it's good. I don't like the new Star Trek that's come out lately and they've cancelled the one called Discovery for some reason, but I'm not bothered.

Redemption ITV 1.

New series 17/03/23

I'm not giving away anything here, as the information is in the write-up and the first five minutes of the drama.
I think TV channels must look for ways of insulting the average viewer's intelligence.

A 52 year-old female detective inspector in Liverpool receives a message from the police in Ireland to say they've an apparent suicide, who has given her name as the next of kin. It immediately turns out that this is her estranged daughter, who left home at the age of seventeen and changed her name.
She wants to investigate this death.

Now wait for it... "She gets her boss to immediately arrange for her to be transferred to the Irish Garda for six months!" So she can covertly investigate the circumstances of her daughter's death. When she gets there, she finds she has a teenage grandson and daughter with "angst," so a "soap element" can be worked in too.

I gave up with it.
