Hi all. I'll have to be out of the country from mid June to mid August and have not found someone to water my fruit trees. The trees are about 2-3 years old (figs, peaches, cherries, grapes, persimmons, etc.). I'm located in Louisville, KY and we do get some summer rain ( on average 4" a month in summer according to this ). My question is: what are the chances that the trees will be completely dead when I come back in August? I am thinking, if the trees will be just stressed and stunted for a while, I'll be fine with the consequences. But if they are going to totally die, I'll find a solution.

If the trees are well established and healthy I doubt if you will see any difference. It might reduce production. I lived in the Texas Hill Country and had a peaches and pears. It is really dry and hot there and I never watered mine except when they were little seedlings. My soil was very shallow with solid rock underneath. If you have moderately deep soil the roots are deep and there is moisture.
