Plant that has babies.

I have a beautiful plant that was dying , and I couldn't understand why so I give her extra water cut some of her leafs away and then found some little babies on her when that happened I pushed them away and I put them on soil which give them some strongness automatically, then they automatically started slightly growing, I just don't know if they should survive, besides that I was wondering if you could give me an answer in regards to the fact that I have the top of her completely dry I ask you this because I don't know if I can cut its top and it will grow naturally and beautifully. Kindly tell me something ...

PS the babies seem to have roots.
