Well water...that could explain it maybe. But that is a huge variation.

This year the test will be on soil without any well water for several months. I shut down the sprinkler system for winter in Nov. and it hasn't been back on since.

Last year I did the test after I had turned the sprinkler system w/well water back on. Might explain part of it. My well water is hard water high in Iron and other minerals.

That is probably it then. Iron and other minerals can change forms in the soi and then not show up on a soil test so that could explain the variation.
