I went to a nature sanctuary and arboretum yesterday and thought I'd share with you some photos of the woodland plants that were flowering. It was a great sight!

I'm in Tennessee and we have most of the same flowers, they grow wild in the state parks. It's always such a nice surprise when out hiking to come across a grouping of wildflowers. I always carry my camera with me, and love taking pictures of them.

I'll see some that aren't blooming yet, and always tell my husband we'll need to come back in a week or so to see the bloom, but we never seem to get around to it. One park we were at last year had a ton of wild mountain laurel, and I so wanted to get back when they were in bloom, but, as usual, we missed it. Oh well, there's always this year.

You are an amazing photographer, I liked all the pictures you posted here, but I must say my favorite one of them all was the 8th. I like it because there is a good view of that place, love the blue flowers all the place... looks like a magical place, one would think there are fairies hiding over there and waiting to come out from their hiding place at night. Hehehe!

Thank you! I love how that photo turned out too. I try my best and keep learning as I go!
It is a pretty cool place. It was a little hidden gem tucked away near a very popular park. I found out about it just last Fall. It looked great in Fall and still does in Spring. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the Summer when their native prairies are in bloom!

Great photos. None of these are found here in India. I ordered for a packet of wild flower seeds that grow in the US but none germinated.

It can be tough to get them to germinate. I've had a lot of success with plants like Asclepias Tuberosa and Gaillardia Aristata, but others can be really difficult.
