The wind driven rain with thunder storms with the combined weight of the tomato plants has been breaking my 3/4" bamboo poles. As a reinforcement I've been putting in 5' pieces of steel rebarb which is made to reinforce concrete. Then I had to pick up the broken bamboo poles and the plants and tie them to the steel poles. The lemon cucumbers are doing well and taste great. We've canned about 23 pints into pickles so far. Our pepper plants and still small with the ones planted in the planter boxes supporting the mail box doing the best. The last picture is one of the lemon cucumbers the size and color for picking.

We have had some windy thunder storms that broke some of the bamboo poles so been fixing them with steel rebarb and steel fence posts. The tomatoes are looking good and the ones we have eaten are very

It even makes me laugh when I look at my videos of how I planted but they are strong and the stalks are pretty thick. This is not a conventional garden due to my twist while planting. I’ve cut back on the amount of water that I give them in the morning by 1/2. I was shocked at the fact that after that bad thunderstorm and about 1/2 of the bamboo poles were broken that they survived when I put in 5’ steel rebar band tied the broken bamboo poles to.

We have given away a lot of tomatoes and processed about 68 quarts both canned and frozen. We cook the tomatoes in a large pot in the oven for 3 hours when processing then run them thru the food mill removing the seeds and skin. We stur the pot once an hour at a temp of 285 degrees there are about 8 quarts of tomatoes cooked at a time with 6 oz of extra virgin olive oil with a table spoon of salt and pepper. This is the best tasting tomato anything I have ever tasted.

This is my COVID-19 garden no fall garden planned we’ll keep picking tomatoes for a couple weeks probably. Right now I’m in the process of putting wheel weights on my John Deere 790 tractor getting ready for garden removal.
