I have no idea how to find the latest posts or search for posts I've made. Hope everyone has a better time here than I've had. If you'll excuse me I'll be gone.

In the Green line at the top of the page it says New Posts. That takes you to the latest offerings from people.
To find posts you have made Click on your name above your Avatar and they are listed in there.
I too am a very senior citizen and find this site no more difficult to traverse as any other.

I know what SC is speaking about. If you click on new posts all is fine. But let's say there is a subject that interests you but you want to check a fact before you post so you exit and go to google. Now you are ready to post so you come back to the forum and that post is now gone until someone else posts. When you click new post it is just gone! It is very annoying but you people aren't getting rid of me that easy. :sneaky:

I have a few solutions for that. You can use your browser's "Back" button or "History" to get back to that post after using google. You could also keep that post open and use google in a separate tab, which is what I always do. You can also save the page as a bookmark temporarily so you can return to it when you'd like. Of course, depending on what the topic was and if the creator of that post put it in the correct category, you can also find it by looking in the most likely categories and it'll be one of the top posts.

o_O . . . Why didn't you ask?

The new post is gone because you read it. It isn't new to you anymore.

Here, try this!! :D (y) ANY thread you want to find again, click "Watch thread," (It's circled in red.) When you want to find it again, click "Watched threads." (Circled in blue.)

The forum will think you are looking for unread posts in threads you are watching. If you have read all the threads that you are watching, it won't immediately show you the threads.:cautious:

Fear not! All is not lost... ;)

Click "Show all watched threads" (Circled in red), and then it will show you all the threads you are watching!!

Oh, and where it says "50 most recently updated," that doesn't mean the other threads are gone, either. That means there are 50 per page.

I have 13 pages.

And...
I just taught myself how to take screenshots!! :joyful:

Sorry to hear that @SeniorCitizen - as you can see from the number of suggestions, we're very willing to help. @JBtheExplorer has highlighted the main ways to view new content and your previous posts - those are the two buttons I use all the time when browsing the site :).

Now you are ready to post so you come back to the forum and that post is now gone until someone else posts

Just to follow on from the other suggestions you've had, there is another way too :). If you click "new posts", you'll also see a recent posts button which will show you all recent threads, including ones you're read. I think this may be the button you are after :D:

I wonder if there would be a way for you to create a bookmarking feature for the forums. It would allow people to 'bookmark' threads right on the site for threads they know they'd want to find again in the future.

Let's say it's summertime and I found a thread that was very informative and I knew it would be helpful to me next Spring. I could use the forums' bookmarking feature to save the thread, so once Spring comes and I need to find it again, I could click a "My Bookmarks" feature and have immediate access to it.

Now I'm am attempting to un-subscribe from threads that are sending me e-mail notification. I've been through the dozens of settings to find the word un-subscribe to no avail. Do I click on seniorcitizen and go somewhere from there?

The bottom of every e-mail that comes from the site should have links to unsubscribe from that thread, or disable all e-mails entirely.

If you want to disable e-mails, you can un-check "and receive email notifications of replies" from the preferences page: https://www.gardening-forums.com/account/preferences

I can also manually disable all e-mails for your account if you'd like?

The closest function we have to bookmarking is the Watch Thread feature, so that might be worth a try. The only other way to do it is just through your browser.
