Identifying my bare spots

I think this is brown patch. Can anyone confirm and remedy? Thinking I should aerate and treat. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

IMO this does not look like brown patch, it looks like grubworm damage.

The mid summer heat period is a good time for applying micronutrients like iron complexes, and fungicides, and insecticides, but not fertilizer. You should check out cornmeal and its relationship to trichoderma, a very hungry fun guy.
