Looking for help identifying this very symmetrically leaved plant

Hello Gardening friends
I'm still working my way through identifying the plants I'm coming across the most in my home landscape from year to year.
I think I used to think these was young Tree of Heaven seedlings which I would regularly pull, but now I'm wondering if they're not something more interesting and ideally more native.
They are very symmetrical: five symmetrical leaves and a clear symmetry to the branches when viewed from above.

Too few leaflets for Tree of Heaven. Maybe Elderberry?

Elder was my first thought too, though the leaves don't look quite 'roundy' enough, and it won't grow where it has been before. Is the 'wood' green and soft? Elder also has a characteristic smell.

It's been a long time, I think it was from damaged young growth.

Might be Bidens Frondosa

Sure looks like elder though

I guess the flowers and seed help id also.
