Jessi, I think you just have to find a pretty trunk... I'm not sure how to drill out a round hole though:(

I really like this simple decoration, it's much easier to make:

Using a dresser as a planter seems impractical. Wouldn't this destroy the dresser?

This bathtub planter is a cool idea, for those who have the space to do it.

This in itself is not that decorative but it's cool anyway.
What do you guys think of drilling holes in PVC pipe to make a plant tower?

ACSAPA, I really like the mason jars, I think it's a great idea. I'd probably paint them in white though as I love white flowerpots, it just looks so tidy.
This is nice, a flowerpot decorated with moss:

This is pretty. It looks like a great way to repurpose a broken terra cotta pot and turn it into something organic looking and cool.

How about planters made from recycled rain gutters?

Now, when I look at it, uncooked pasta really does remind me of seashells:)
Seashells make a nice decoration too:

But, to be honest, I wouldn't like it in my house, to me it looks like snails were attacking the plant:eek:

Especially seashell pasta, huh?

I like the idea of the seashell pot up there, but I think it would look better on a smaller pot. Or with different colored shells. One that big is a bit overwhelming for me.

How about these mosaic flowerpots? I find them really pretty, it's a very interesting decoration:

I especially like the first picture because I'm very fond of neutral colors.

Wow! So many terrific ideas for decorating flower pots. I have lots of little trees out here, so I am definitely going to try the one with the sticks around it, and I really like the sweater sleeve or colorful sock on a flower pot as well. I usually crochet little throw rugs from my plastic grocery bags, so maybe I will try making a pot cover from plarn, and see how it turns out. I love the multi-color roses ! Are they just painted with food colors or what ?

How about making a mosaic using old CD's cut into bits on your containers? I have been wanting to do this for sometime now.. I will hopefully get started on this one soon.
