Hi, I'm new here so my apologies if this is a duplicate post or it's the wrong place to ask. I inherited this herb and would like to know what it is. I think it might be oregano?

Thanks

I don't know that you need to, it's a sturdy herb and trimming/using the ends of the stalks will encourage it to grow bushier.

I'd weed out that other thing with the broader leaves, though. Looks like peppermint (again, crush a leaf and sniff) which is a very aggressive grower.

Actually, the plant pictured is Sweet Marjoram (Origanum majorana) in the Mint Family (Lamiaceae). This herb is a close relative of Oregano (Origanum vulgare) but the two herbs are readily distinguished by leaf, flower, and most notably, fragrance & flavour.
Sweet Marjoram has a sweetly perfumed scent and taste, while Oregano is in more spicy and pungent.
