New herb mandala

My project this year was building my herb mandala. Waiting for the weather to warm before planting.

Wow. Did you research which herbs to plant together? Id like to build something like this, very cool.

I designed it and my husband Mark built it . The chimney pots came off the roof of our previous house and have mint planted. The pot in the middle has a bay tree surrounded with camomile. The bricks came from an unwanted pile on a farm.
I have made a plan of herbs to plant depending on amount of sun on each patch and soil type. Some of the patches have more clay soil and I have added garden compost and lots of grit in various amounts depending on what I am
Going to plant. This year will be a bit trial and error.

Can’t wait to get planting.

We are also planning more paths across the grass to link with other features.

The picture doesn’t show it real well but I hope everyone notices that this is built into a slight slope. Not only is the symmetry excellent but taking all that extra time to level it out is impressive. A great feat of design and engineering. My hat is off to your husband.
