Is this Lowes store by your house?
If you are selling to your neighbours - would they buy it from you - to save on gas?

Or if selling tomato plants won't work - what about selling tomatoes?
If selling food won't work - what about flowers?
Or what about clippings of your own plants/bushes/shrubs?

Everyone is good at something:
There's always something we can do that other people can't or won't.
I am still looking.

I figure bunch buy $1 Tomatoe Plants after frost kills them resale for $6.

Plus the plants were Hybrids and I’m going with Heirloom.

I checked another place and plants were what I expected $6 for most plants $70+ for Boston Ferns.

Lots of them go to the Amish which they have much better plants. LOL Lots of them actually learned from me.

I would go and study what the Amish are selling and grow something that they don't have.

I have seen people going to plant sales - buy - repot - grow them for a year or two and sell them for a lot more than they bought it for. Same as hanging baskets in the summer.

I use to see people buy tiny Japanese maples - grow them for a few years and sell them.
You just posted an Azalea and I'm sure you have other plants that you can propagate.
Just an idea -
I know a lady just sells bouquets of flowers.
The wife can sell your bouquets at work and she can keep the tip. :)

I could start lots of stuff from cuttings in January and have them looking good this time of year.

My wife has Sales she is going to. She can take some.

I was at the Doctors Office swiped a cutting off a Wondering Jew. I sold a nice one then realized I didn’t have any starts. Asked the woman I got mine from. She no longer has hers. So I’m in the Doctors Office doing what comes natural.

People on the Internet are selling lots of dahlia plants.
They buy a dahlia that they like - next year they start the extra tubers in pots and sell those.
If dahlias like where they are growing - they produce a lot of tubers.

Compost.

I stole a cutting because I wanted one the other day. Not giving anything away.

Either I won’t raise it or sell it. Not good at giving.

Have a friend say she was going to Lowe’s to get Tomatoe Plants.

They are Hybrids and I’m raising Heirloom for seeds but at that price I might reconsider.

Nice! That’s a pretty solid deal. $1 for tomato plants is a steal. Your wife’s probably right—grow for yourself and enjoy the harvest. Plus, those Boston ferns look great indoors!

big rockpile you brought back memories of my grandmother who visted Nationality Trust gardens with a large handbag and a pair of scissors. She could stick a pencil in a pot and it would grow.
