I have 2 large hydrangea bushes planted on the north side of my house. We are planning to cover and screen in that area of the house/patio/yard.. Does anyone know if the hydrangea bushes would survive under a covered patio? They would get very limited sun (obviously). I know I can transplant them, but I love where they are ....

Are they in direct sun now? How have they survived there? If they have stood nice and tall and not flopped due to need for water then they like it there, and they like sun. But if their leaves have become droopy due to drying out, and too much sun then they would like it on the shady side. @FloridaGirl --I believe from your name you live in Florida? any support hydrangeas that I cannot given your zone. My best suggestion is you just try to see if they are happy there, make sure they receive enough water, if your covering stops the rain etc. you can tell when they are not happy, so then move them.
