Help with repotting and propogating pilea peperomioides

Hi, I recieved this plant today. It is incredibly root bound and has a lot of pups. Do you have any advice for me on how to repot and propogate it? The roots and soil are a solid mass. There is no way I can manipulate them. Thank you :)

If that was mine...... I would buy a pot twice the size of that one and buy a bag of compost and a bag of fertilizer free potting soil and mix the two in equal amounts. I would then open the roots and spread them out over a layer of the mixture in the new pot. I would carefully work the soil mixture into the roots to remove any air pockets. I would water it good and let it rest for several months to recuperate. During that time I would hunt through YouTube for videos on propagation. You do run the risk of killing it, but I think its days are numbered if left as is.
