Hi!
I’m new here and also very very very inexperienced as a gardener.
I need advice on what to do with this plant, specifically the bulbs. I have pretty much murdered this plant by allowing it to get suffocated by not dead heading it sufficiently.
I can see the green bulbs here and I believe I am right in saying they are alive and well. My question is about the ones that are browner in colour, should they be removed too? picture for reference!

At this point you’re best off leaving it alone. The new fiddleheads are very soft and break easily. It will grow right through the old leaves and cover them up. What you can do is clean it up in the winter when it goes dormant , then next spring it will be just fresh fronds and look wonderful from the start!
