Hello,

Very new to gardening and need some advice.

Just planted Trachelospermum Jasminoides around border of my garden and it seems to be taking well on east, west and south facing fences.

I have one area of fence however which is east facing but due to the way the houses are (east London terrace) it does not get any direct sunlight.

I was looking for ideas on what I could plant.

I like the idea of some kind of evergreen trailing plant if that would be possible, that I could hang from the top of fence.

I have attached some pics. Apologies they are a bit naff but hopefully the

illustrate point.

English ivy (Hedera helix) will grow outdoors in London England. It is a native plant to the UK and can thrive in a variety of conditions, according to the Woodland Trust. It is an evergreen climber that can be found growing on trees, walls, and fences.

Maybe Hibbertia, Guinea Gold vine, or Asarina, Climbing Snapdragon. Either could be planted in the ground or grown in pots to trail down.

There are some nice variegated ones, but it will grow through both sides of the fence, I hear my neighbour muttering as she pulls it out, and you will never get rid of it if you decide you don't like it.
