Question. I planted my very first rose bush this spring. It's a drift rose and it's done wonderful all summer. Just wondering if I need to cover it or cut it back or anything before winter? We live in Michigan.
All cultivars in the Drift Roses collection are claimed to be hardy to USDA Zone 4 (to -30º F). However the company (Star Roses) does recommend that those in Zone 4 take extra precautions, such as heavily mulching the rose with dead leaves and wrapping the branches with burlap. Zone 4 includes some parts of northern Michigan.
