Do you have a treehouse in the garden?

So what's the perfect tree for a tree-house? Start planting.

My three storey tree-house was in an ancient almond tree. I would see the tree bloom with those glorious flowers and slowly turn into nuts. It would take forever before they would be ready to eat. I would use a bamboo pole to knock them down and it was an almond feast for everyone.

Now that sound like the kind of tree house i would like to have.. on an almond tree.. I love almonds.. Those blooms would make the house look like one big romantic holiday

I'm definitely feeling this tropical treehouse. The balcony/swing thing suspended from chains underneath is cool.

Those look scary, Claudine. One of them looks like the stairs are broken at the bottom. Maybe they were nice when they were new.

Here's a treehouse in California. They have some huge trees in California.
This looks like Shrek and Fiona should be living here.

I found a few more treehouses. I didn't know that so many people in the world had treehouses.

This one is terrifying. Hell no.

This one is sweet. I like the potted plant by the door.

This one is like a hybrid of a tree and a house, it's a house that was built into the side of a hollow tree.

Those are some intense tree houses!

I was expecting something for a child to play in....not some of the gorgeous examples above.

Sadly, no, I don't have anything even remotely close to these.

Jessi, these are houses in which people can actually live on a daily basis . I guess the only problem is that there is no sewage system nor water in them.

Somehow I really like this tree house, it's so eccentric. It doesn't look very tidy but it can be changed . And I'd love to have a tree house near the water:

Wow amazing photos thanks to everyone for showing them. Seeing these photos has certainly given me some inspiration, however I am not sure if I would be in the same league as these, they are wonderful!
