Dark purple crape myrtle

From everything I google I see Catawba is dark purple but can’t find a google search with Catawba this dark. Is that another species or just angle?

I believe the tree in your picture is called a Blue Crape Myrtle, which are actually lavender in color, not true blue color at all.

Scratch that.....After I opened the picture I saw the one in the back. The one in the for ground also is not a Blue.
It may be Purple Velvet. (In the back)
