INuVue Products 32100 Pop-Up Garden Netting Pest Guard Covers with Ground Spikes, Mesh Plant Cover Tents for Pest and Animal Control, Pack of 2. I bought these and have them over my veggies but I’m wondering when to remove them without risking the animals coming to snack on them.

When you are ready for harvesting is the best time to remove the covers. If you remove them too early the guard can't do its job.

The answer to this can depend on if you are talking about large predators or small ones. When you get up around 6 AM or so, you WILL see yellowjackets snacking on the leaves of your vegetable plants. People don't see this and don't point it out. But they snack on the leaves to take them back to make nests out of them. This is one thing that you can keep the screens on until the plant is big enough to survive this kind of predation. (And other small bug pests, like snails, etc.)

But larger predators... might have to keep the screens on longer.
