What are some good cucumber varieties for pickling, sliced, Spears, and smaller whole pickle type?
It makes a difference as to your location. Some varieties like less heat than others and some like longer hours of sunshine. Please update your profile as to your location and hardiness zone.

Gherkin and cucamelon can be pickled.

Although cucamelons are fruit about the size of a grape they taste like cucumbers with a tinge of sourness.
