Hi guys looking for some advice. I bought this tree last spring to replace a tree that was there before I moved in. The previous tree only had about 3 leafs on it every year, and we thought it was dying due to neglect of previous owners or was damaged by frost or wind.

The tree was planted last spring and was healthy with green leafs. I noticed the odd brown leaf starting but put it down to getting replanted. All in all it seemed healthy

Now this spring we were delighted to see to it blossom with flowers, I wasn’t expecting many as it was a young tree. But as the days went on I noticed all the leafs were brown. Any advice as to why.

the neighbours tree is on the same patch of grass and seems to be doing just fine.

Thanks in advance .

Your tree looks like Kwanzan variety. If that is the case, the coloring of the leaves is normal. The new leaves come out with a reddish color and will change to more green as they mature.
