Best Dhalia potting soil suggestions

I have found sooo many opinions on the best Dhalia potting soil mix.

what are your favorite Brands & Types of potting soil? Do you put any additives?

Hello and welcome to GF
I always use a multi purpose compost with a John innes in it, buy it at the garden centre. I use it for everything, even seeds.

Dahlia cultivars can grow fine in most general-purpose potting soils as long as the gardener plants and waters according to the needs of the plant and the moisture retention of the soil. A sandier soil mix will dry more quickly than one with higher levels of organic matter, yet a plant such as Dahlia can grow well in both as long as there is awareness of the soils' properties and irrigates accordingly.
