Advice for Keeping Cats Out of Gardens?

I have to admit that I feel bad for harbouring any ill will toward my neighbour. Lesson learned. I made some judgments about them that weren't warranted. I'm just happy that he was so receptive to our concerns. Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Don't worry! Everyone does or has done that from time to time, in heat of the moment we often say things we really don't feel, specially if we believe our property is being damaged in some way I have done it in the past too, but as you said: lesson learned! I hope things continue well with your neighbor, keep us posted!

When I lived in the city I had the cat problem too. I found that pecan hulls used as mulch was very effective. It hurts their feet to walk on it so they go next door.
