My friend and I are creating a new gardening spade for an engineering project. We are designing a spade that primarily compliments at home, seed planting. We are planning on adding a built in ruler to create even spaces and measure depth. We are also going to try and create a valve in the handle of the spade and when you open it the seeds drop into the hole that you've dug. We're asking for suggestions or opinions relating to the project that we could incorporate into the design. If you have any possible problems with gardening that this product could fix if designed correctly we would very much appreciate if you expressed that in this thread. Do you think this tool would be useful?
