Cute birds! The blue parakeet with the white face reminds me of a bird I had years back that we named "Close Call!" He got the name because he tried to fly away when we were buying him and a cat almost got him first!

Not my pets but I'm inspired by the birds haha. I've taken this nest "under my wing" so-to-speak! I have a 2-storey deck and this nest cropped up underneath the second floor deck.
I love robins! They don't seem too scared of me when I go out on the deck to water my seedlings or BBQ but they're definitely iffy on my husband and son. I expect these little guys to hatch any day now! I noticed one moving this morning so maybe even today!

These are our son's two dogs.
Maggie on the left and Ted on the right.
During the week, they go to "Doggie Day Care" and love it.
Each year, the dogs participate in a Christmas tableau photo.
Last Christmas, it was a nativity scene. Ted played "Baby Jesus."
Maggie "failed the audition," as she never sits still.

Definitely a good idea to spay unless you can be 100% certain you can keep her away from intact dogs.My husband just got us a min pin puppy, Cleo!
BTW Does anyone have any suggestions if I should Spay her? Is this a good idea?
The main reason is to prevent unwanted litters, but in my experience it's well worth it for the health and happiness of the dog. It varies between breeds - for example with some bigger dogs neutering can lead to problems. But with small breeds the positives far outweigh the negatives (last time I looked at the research).
It's common (more so recently) to be told to wait until after second season, but again - that's one-size-fits-all advice that is really only important for large breeds. My Beagles have always been spayed at 6 months and unless new research came to light I'd always do it that way. Breeders tend not to like it. But from what I see with friends' dogs too many bitches end up with problems from that first season. And they really sail through the op when they're that bit younger.
My Beagles are 15 yrs, 14 yrs, 14 months and 10 months. The oldest girl (15 yrs) is fit as a fiddle - no problems from spaying. The little one (14 months) did get noticeably lazier after spaying (this never happened with the 15 year old). So you might need to watch what you feed her and perhaps limit food a bit if she starts burning fewer calories after the op.

Not a good year here. We lost 2 of our 3 cats this year. Nov. 22 our old lady of 22 years old left for heaven. We only have one cat now, SissyGirl---she prefers the outside---has a heated cat house, heat for water in the winter, gets the best cat food. Sissy is 19 years old, will be 20 in April. Looks good. That picture is from last winter, and she is sitting on her deck.
we've had a 2yr old rotty and he will undergo a tplo surgery this coming weekend. We're pretty nervous since it his his first surgery. We already bought a post surgery care including the cone. im kinda hesitant with the cone and saw an alternative on with a sleeve, here. Has anyone tried a product like that?
