Oh yes! I had a few sweet potatoes in my pantry, and they sprouted like mad. I checked the suppliers on-line, and found out that sweet potato starts are very expensive. I was rich!!!!
I planted them and the did very well. We ate our profit.

Bit late for planting out spuds here, frost period coming up.
