@MaryMary: I used to be exactly like you. I hated the idea of confining plants to pots..What if I forgot to water them? I always like the idea of planting perennials or annuals free range - in the ground so that they can stretch their roots to tap into the nutrients. But as I want to move and also having plants in pots will have pristine, perfect flowers, not a petal chomped by bugs .. I have gradually warmed to the idea of having plants in pots. The lasagna tastes nice and is definitely worth trying.. Very popular here in the UK as well..

@zigs, what is the pink flower - the second one in post # 101? Kind of reminds me of snakeskin! :ROFLMAO:

Snake's Head Frittilaries :)

About 20 years ago, nearly all of their surviving numbers were in a few flood meadows on the upper river Thames, thanks to public awareness they are growing in many gardens now :)
