Congratulations wiseowl. I was very excited when i got my gardening shed. You've inspired me to tidy it up. Not at this very moment as it's 4.30 am;).

I removed a path going through my native garden today (where the fresh mulch is). I realized it was more important to have an extra 32 sq. ft. of native plants than having a second path.

The winter is finally over and the spring is here, The Snowdrops have now finished and the Crocus have all but gone, Daffodils are in full bloom and the first tulips are about to erupt with colour. The first plants of the year are starting to show, Primula Denticulata are just starting to flower and will be closely followed by Aquilegia and Jacob's Ladder, although the latter is a different plant in the US... to add to your confusion if you don't know it, so i enclose a picture below

I also picked up a new seed packet today. My grandma asked me to pick one up for her. She wanted something red, and I wanted her to have something native, plus there are always a nice amount of seeds in a packet so I'll be able to grow enough for her and myself. I'm interested to see how it'll grow compared to the Gaillardia I already have, and will be interested to see if it attracts as many bees and butterflies.

Too dark to show my garden, so here's a few seedling shots.

Purple Coneflowers at two different stages in life. The first is a seedling I just started about a month ago.

The second is out in my native garden, just beginning its second year. It's possibly one I started indoors last year, or maybe one that grew outside from the seeds I sprinkled in Autumn of 2014. I'm expecting to see them bloom for the first time this year, and I'm looking forward to it!
