Definitely not, abandoned dogs and rescue ones are totally different.
Rescue Trusts meticulously vett both potential owner and dog to make sure they both match, not just in temperament but also environment and lifestyle too :)(y)
Yes i agree the trusts do vett the owner and the dog. But i know someone who had to take the dog back to the Dogs Trust. She was alright for a few weeks, then she became aggressive to other dogs. :)(y)

That's the problem, not knowing the dog's history.

Sam is fine with people and children. But when they got him he didn't like other dogs. Maybe he'd been bullied by other dogs as a puppy. Or had to fight to get any food. But they took him to dog training and he's much better now.

When he arrived he was happy for any food, but now wants all the food for himself. My best dog was a rescue, her first owner bred her, left her outside in a kennel, and then moved away when they couldn’t sell all the puppies. We have taken in strays all my life, some work out, some don’t.

Blackberries are starting to come in. There will be several gallons this year I think.

Thinned the kale seedlings, potted up some verbena a neighbor gave me. Potted up 12 /1gal pomegranate trees to sell later. Watered everything. Weeded some in the 3 raised vege beds, prayed to the Meyers lemon tree for more blossoms since a freak hail storm broke off all of only 4 blossoms last month. Worked outside until mosquito:30...came inside for the night.

Went out to check on a mystery sound, ended up not finding it, but my guard cats were there to protect me just in case! Then I snapped pics of various flowers, and the moon. I’m not seeing a post I’d just tried to make. My sister brought over more tomato, cantaloupe, and watermelon seedlings, I got those planted after dinner. I hadn’t planned on adding more plants, especially tomatoes, I’ve already got like 6 plants.

Potted some patio tomatoes and built 3 long bins to plant 200 ginseng seeds, now to just water and wait. Ginseng isn't supposed to grow in my zone but I'm hoping they don't know that. Had to make moveable bins incase I need to adjust the sun exposure. Fingers crossed.
