Vermiculite are they all the same

hey all
so im looking to buy Vermiculite for my potting soil the question is are they all the same. i see some sold for reptiles and some for the garden but the garden ones seem more expensive, is there a difference? or can i use any
2nd question should i use perlite and Vermiculite on my veggies for example tomatoes,peppers,pumpkin and cucumbers and if so what percent

I would only use vermiculite if I wanted to hold water longer in the potting mix. If I wanted a potting soil with a lot of drainage I would us perlite only with that mix. If you are mixing with peat the pH is rather low and needs to be adjusted with Dolomite lime. What kind of soil are you using to mix with the amendments?
