Vermiculite Bench Propagators.

Over the last couple of years I have read or seen that some people are changing their bench propagators, keeping the soil warming cable but switching out the sand for vermiculite. Anybody here have experience of this new setup?

Nope, no experience at all Steve When I used to propagate shrubs for a living, I had heat mats with capillary matting over, and pipework and a spraying system, with a ''leaf'' to indicate when the next spray was due. This was covered with a mini tunnel inside the big greenhouse. The humidity was such that my glasses fogged up on opening the door. Great fun.
