Trees that love FULL sun?

I would suggest fruit trees. Do birch trees grow in your area? They are so lovely with their white bark. A real addition to any yard and they provide a dappled shade so grass will grow under them. Any kind of evergreen should do well in your area. Those are something we in the south struggle to grow, although I have seen several doing very well.
