Just leave them in. They shouldn't bolt till next year and should divide to give you spring onions :)

Mine aren't doing well either - they look a smaller than yours @zigs. Hopefully they'll catch up in the end .

Gave mine a good soak last night.

Don't let em go short of water in this heat or they could bolt

Flippin' heck, my banana shallots are bigger than that.
Funnily enough, all growers on the allotments who are good onion growers are having trouble with their onions, and I mean, nearly all are picklers, yet my worst onions are better than their best!!!
The only other onions the same size, are a dozen shallots I gave a newbie as a welcome gift.
I used this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vitax-Q4...g-Makes-25-Litres-Enhances-Root-/122858727545
and I really think it made the difference.
The majority of my "Red Barons" are 1/2 pounders.
If I have time, I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Remember, 340g = 12oz = 3/4 lb.

I only have room to cure about 30 at a time, prior to storage, but these, which include the ones in the previous post, are all of similar size, as you can see. All my onions are grown from seed.

Is there a 2019 challenge?

I just might have an entry if so.
