I wouldn't if you plan on eating the leaves. Maybe try direct seeding next time. It's supposed to do even better as a fall garden over there

You might remove the infected leaves. Especially if they show signs of spreading and see if they can outgrow it. 3 weeks till harvest

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe so. They were inside, in the basement until they got planted them outside. I don't believe I exposed them to high temps. I might have used a heading Matt to help the germination, but that would have been it.

I already sprayed them with copper fungicide. I figured you could just wash it off. I guess I'll just yank them out and try again in the fall.

Usual suspects - to much water, to little water, to much sun, not enough, soil to cold, soil to hot and perhaps not enough Nitrogen in the soil.

i never plant [spinach] only mustard greens, collards and another one that is multi colored. cant think of the name. also amaranth. all of these are good and most wont bolt til much later. amaranth seed is sold as a decorative tall flowering plant . however it will self seed and revert to its native plant . its completely edible and has been cultivated for century's.

If you like amaranth you might like lambsquarters. Lettuce does well for me north east Missouri. I mean, spinach does fine too till the end of May

Well, I bought as multi-test kit (Soil temp, water, and PH). Water level was too high. Wouldn't think it from the surface, but below the mulch and top inch of soil it was reading very wet. Might have been an ongoing issue for me all along. with other crops as well.

That's the thing about man made soil blends, they're hard to get right. It's hard to beat natural soil
