Hi! I’ve had my coleus plant since 2011. I got it in Syracuse, NY and then moved to Washington, DC and she’s always done great. However, I moved to FL last June and my plant has been struggling since. I tried putting it outside and back inside and it just keeps getting worse.
It was such a beautiful plant and now all that’s left is that photo. Yesterday I changed the soil and moved it to this smaller pot because the rest of her died.
The branches seem to start dying from the top down to the root. It’s like they completely dry. And she barely gives out any leaves anymore.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Why not try cutting it and re-growing it from rooted cuttings? They root pretty readily in water.

The stem on the left with more leaves looks rather healthy. Cut that one off and root it.

I tried that with other stems and they just completely dried out in the water. it’s like the stems are not absorbing any nutrients.
I’ve propagated this plant a million times over the last decade. This is the first time this happens. I’m scared to cut it and then Have it die completely. I’m very attached to this plant

You are over-watering the plant. They like wet to dry cycles and you are keeping the soil wet too long. Let the top inch dry before watering again.
