I was wondering if anyone could help me with my fairly new rubber plant please.

I have a a rubber plant which is 85cm high, not including the pot. (170cm with pot). Here in the UK, I keep it in a slightly off south facing large window. So will see the sun morning through to 1:30pm if the sun decides to come out.. then the sun disappears behind a wall but still provides a lot of light.

As the rubber plant is in a large pot I feel like it holds onto moister, so I tend to not water very often. First 2 inches of the soil is dry when I do water, and slightly moist below as it never seems to fully dry that deep. I am watering in the shower and providing a heavy watering, this is maybe every 2 weeks.

I've noticed a few inconsistency in the leafs, also come cracking. and wondered if anyone knew what could be the issue. Please see pics attached:

thanks for your help.

Those damaged spots are mechanical and not anything to worry about. Lift the plant out of the decorative container and check the bottom of the nursery pot for drain holes. Stick your finger in one of the holes and feel if the soil is sopping wet or just moist. If it too wet then let it dry more before watering and if its real dry then water until just a little water comes out of the drainage holes on the bottom when you water. Keep rotating your plant a 1/4 turn every 3 or 4 days so the plant will get equal sunlight all around the plant, and not just one side. Your Rubber tree looks good.
