We had a rare (thank goodness) sleet/ice event overnight and two of our antique roses that set hips looked rather artistic.
I hope I never see this again .

I was shocked to see sleet falling here yesterday...cancelled Grandson's HS basketball game because most just don't have a lot of experience driving on it.

The sleet here was not like any I have ever seen before. It wasn't individual pellets of sleet. It was a coagulation of individual pellets into a single mass about the volumn of a tablespoon full. It completely destroyed my swill chard, beet, brocolli and spinach plants. It didn't freeze though.

Meadowlark, NO ONE has experience (at least not a good experience) driving on icy roads. Thank heavens the schools cancelled the basketball game--congratulations to the administrators!
