Im not particularly sure where this ggies if this is in the wrong forum I apologize in advance.
I was wondering what is your opinion on root hormone? Do you use a natural alternative? If you do, what is it?

I was also specifically wondering about using honey as a natural alternative. I read 2 cups of boiling water to one tablespoon of honey. Could you leave the plant in question (Lucky Bamboo, growing it hydroponically) in the solution for a period of time?

The fluid must remains sterilized, you can keep it as long as you want, I guess.

Sterilized solution packed with basic nutrients and minerals required for plant will make a good medium to grow roots.

I even heard that you can make plant root with :cool:coconut milk.

You can try Hoagland's solution, its like Deja VU.(n) I have posted about it in some thread.

Willow water (Salix water) - a good means for root formation. There are several recipes. One of them: cut short young branches and pour them with boiling water for a day. Then strain. Cuttings can be dipped in this solution.

My main job for many years was propagating shrubs. ..rooting compounds in my estimation have little effect on successful root formation. Most soft tip cuttings did best with bottom heat and high humidity.

Talking of which, I must water my nursery patch. It always enjoys heat, but this year, there has been no rainwater to do the job...

Incidentally, I saw a video 2 days ago about a guy using honey rather than growth hormone and he was very pleased with it, pointing out that the roots are especially healthy, thick and strong and voluminous..
