We just had our very old bushes removed from the flowerbed and of course we now have holes.
What products do you like to use to amend and build it back up that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?

Hopefully most of the roots and accompanying native soil were left in place. In that case just amend your soil with organic matter. Forestry product soil amendment, either bagged or bulk depending on quantity, would be a fine choice. If a large amount of the mineral soil component was removed you may want to purchase a topsoil product that can replace some of this material. Unnecessary soil removal can do the damage of a hundred years of erosion in a single day.
