Trailing Elephant Food (Portulacaria afra 'Prostrata') could make a striking and unusual groundcover for full sun to bright shade conditions. However, there are two caveats, your soil should be well draining (not clay, unless heavily amended) and your climate must be mild (USDA Zone 9b or higher).
