I asked my husband to pick up 40 pure white pansies. They are in a 1 quart round container (about five inches) with 3 or 4 planted in each. Do I break the rootball apart and plant separately or do they go in the ground as is? I’m using them as a border and everything I read says to space at least 8 inches apart. Wouldn’t that mean each tiny plant should be spaced 8 inches? I never planted these and I’m confused!
