Placement of Delphinium

I'd like to place it on the west facing side of my house so it would get shade in the morning and sun the late afternoon and evening. Would this be okay for it? I read somewhere that it needs morning sun and afternoon shade but I wasn't entirely sure if this was true or not or if it even mattered.

I love delphinium but have never tried growing them before! Whenever I am in a garden center, I also look for delphinium to admire. Right now, there is not much of an area to garden at my condo, so I will just look at them in the store, but I found this link on how to care for delphinium: https://www.almanac.com/plant/delphiniums

It said part sun, but it didn't now mention morning or afternoon sun.
