I picked up this dying pineapple plant on clearance. I didn't think he'd make it, but I wanted it more for the pups I saw popping up. Now he's bounced back to health, but he can't hold up his own pineapple. Should I keep it propped up with more stakes and tape like a new tree, or should I just let it hang over and hope it pops up on its own?

That's really interesting. I can't answer your question from experience but would guess propping up might be best...don't know.

@big rockpile has some experience here so I'll tag him.

I'd be interested how this turns out if you could keep us posted.

I just had one that has an unripe Pineapple lay over I put a bamboo stake in there and tied it up.

I have all mine in separate Pots. They are Succulents and you water down the plant. Plus they like full sun.
