Pineapple Plant

Will it hurt to repot a Pineapple Plant that is Blooming also we're wanting to take a little one off it?

I'm really needing to know if I can repot the Pineapple that is Blooming and wanting to take a little one off it.

Plant is getting another Pineapple.

Still haven't repotted I feel I have no choice but to. Still not sure if I want to take the little one off or not.

From what I understand is once the Pineapple is ripe it will die but should have a few little ones .

Pull all but one off and replant in moist soil. Leave one on the Mother Plant getting use of the roots.

I'm thinking leave it until it runs its cycle.
