Indoor Pineapple plant

I live in zone 7, and have an indoor pineapple plant. It has grown so much, the shortest some leaves are at least 5 feet long. Can I prune it without causing any harm? It's taking over a lot of space.

It’s always best to let them be, but if you must trim them only remove 25-30% of any one leaf.
Thanks for the advice. You are right and I just couldn't bring myself to cut it. The picture I posted did not do justice to the actual plant.
I've moved it to another part of the house, unfortunately, it's not going to get as much light as it did in the previous location, so I put up a grow lamp next to it.
