peppers

hi all
I am new to this forum, and was wondering if anyone knew what type of pepper you would find on say an order of nachos, they are usually cut in a crosssection of the pepper, light green in color and not to hot?

Usually they are a mild to slightly hot variety of jalapenos

Welcome to the forum. @Chuck is absolutely correct. Those are jalapenos that have a very low scoville rating.

Walmart actually carries a kind of Burpee Jalapeno pepper plant that is called Nacho Jalapeno. What are the odds? LOL

Welcome to the forum.I would suggest capsicum anyday. Though they are water dependent they are very resistant plants anyday. Capsicums are not bitter. In fact, they are sweet on the palate and are easy to divide into sections.

I guess you could but they just wouldn't be the same. Japs are thicker walled than Poblanos and Anaheims so the texture is different when cooked
